Have you ever been to a concert to learn English? On Tuesday Languagelab had a great band from London playing exclusively for Languagelab students and their friends!

Head Teacher and Zakarias Trenchcoat hosted the event and, as always, made everyone feel welcome.
The band are called Coco and the Crip and their RL names are Pasco and Alice. Pasco played two different types of guitar and Alice was on the violin. Both of them have got really good voices too. The concert was organised to be fun but also to help people practice English. How did we do that? Well a few things: qualified teachers Head and Zak were Master of Ceremonies. The musicians introduced each song and told everyone about the inspiration behind it. Pasco, for example, has travelled a lot and his music reflects many styles; blues, reggae, folk, rock. Everyone got a copy of the song lyrics and was able to sing along. Pasco also talked about the instruments he was using. One of them was called a lap slide guitar.
Pasco and Alice had some great questions from the audience. One of them said that it was the coolest thing they had been to in a long time! Don’t forget that you can learn more about the band at their Myspace page. You can also download the lyrics to one of Coco and the Crips songs here.
Don’t worry if you missed the event on Tuesday, Coco and the Crip enjoyed it so much they will be back again soon so watch this space.
Hi!
You wouldn’t believe it but I have wasted all day searching for some info about this. I wish I knew of this site earlier, it was a thought provoking read and really helped me out. Kind regards, <a href="http://ezinearticles.com/?Funny-Christmas-Songs-For-Children—Groove-King-Senseless
